At White Stone Counselling Services, we specialize in providing compassionate and effective counselling services to help individuals and families navigate difficult life circumstances. Our areas of expertise include grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. We believe in creating a safe and supportive space for our clients to explore their thoughts and emotions, and work together to develop strategies for positive change.
Emotionally Focused Therapy
CBT is a structured, goal-oriented form of therapy that helps clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviours. By working collaboratively with our clients, we can help them develop more positive and adaptive ways of thinking and behaving, leading to improved mood and overall well-being.

Psychotherapy
My way of listening and interacting with clients is an integration of various therapeutic approaches such as: Rational Emotive Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Mindfulness-based Therapy. The approach I use depends on the individual client's goals and needs.
My Approach
I believe that every person has worth and value and that we are created for connection and relationship - relationship with ourselves, others, and the Divine. BUT - life can be hard and we can lose our way on all three levels. When we are relationally out of sink we tend to repeat old coping patterns that no longer serve us well. Healing comes when we take the "filter off" and courageously find our voice in a brave - safe space. We talk, we listen, we process and we heal. I have been in those places and know that change happens. At White Stone Counselling Services I take the practice of "presence" serious.
Presence can be defined as "a way of being with and for others" during times of crisis, challenge and change.
Through a client-centred, strength base, and collaborative approach, I practice presence with and for clients who are wanting to address emotional, mental, spiritual, and relational pain.

I embrace genuine curiosity, compassion and reflective non-judgement questioning to help my clients hear themselves out loud, process difficult emotions, and work together to reconcile what has been left unresolved.
