What is EFT?

Is a proven therapy that is beneficial for individuals and couples. In multiple studies that compared therapeutic approaches, emotion-focused therapy gave results that were as effective if not more effective than other traditional methods of therapy.

This focus leads therapist and client toward strategies that promotes the awareness, acceptance, expression, utilization, regulation, and transformation of emotion as well as corrective emotional experience with the therapist. Originating from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, EFIT adapts these principles for individual therapy, offering a structured approach to help individuals address various challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma and relationship problems.

The goals of EFT are strengthening the self, regulating affect, and creating new meaning.

How does EFT Work?

In the five moves of the EFT and EFIT Tango, you evoke the emotions that underlie dysfunctional patterns in the client’s life and help order and validate them. They then become tolerable and manageable and can be owned and explored on a deeper level.
